Two layers of synthetic insulation for winter commuting, gravel rides and bikepacking in deep cold. These insulated handlebar mitts work equally well with flat and drop handlebars. They cover your hands and controls, shielding them from wind and helping retain warmth.
The pogies hold their shape, making it easy to slide your hands inside. The openings do not fasten around your wrists, allowing you to pull your hands out easily.
Warmth and ventilation
We and our customers have used these pogies below −20°C / −4°F with only light autumn gloves inside. Comfort depends on your sensitivity to cold, the gloves you wear, wind and how hard you are riding.
If your hands get too warm, the upper part can be folded outwards and down for more airflow. The lower section continues to provide a shield against wind. The zipper can also be opened for ventilation.

For windy, damp rides around −2 to +5°C, our Mild Winter Cycling Pogies are the lighter option.
Handlebar compatibility
The standard pair fits flat and drop handlebars, subject to the cable limitation below.
We can also customise a pair for Jones H-bars for an extra 15% of the selected pair’s price. You can contact us before ordering to discuss your setup.
Road shifters with exposed gear cables
Road shifters with gear cables exiting sideways from the levers do not work well with these pogies. This concerns cables running outside the handlebar tape.
Longer cables and housing may allow you to route them around the pogies, but we cannot guarantee a suitable fit with this arrangement.
Fabrics and colours
All fabric options use the same two layers of insulation. Each of these fabrics is waterproof and windproof.
The main differences are feel, weight and appearance.
-
ECOPAK™ EPX200 feels a little softer than X-Pac, with similar performance in everyday pogie use. Made by Challenge Outdoor, it uses 100% recycled polyester fibre and film and comes in a wide range of colours.
-
X-PAC® VX21 has a firmer, more structured feel and a visible reinforcement pattern. It also offers a wide range of colours.
-
ULTRA™ 200X is the lighter outer fabric, with a distinctive woven texture. It is also made by Challenge Outdoor, using an Ultra-PE and polyester blend with a recycled backing film. It is not fully recycled. Ultra-PE fibres naturally repel water. Our current colours for these pogies are black, gravel grey and white.
Available fabric colours and custom combinations are shown on our Fabrics and Colors page.
Inner pockets
Available with or without inner pockets. The pockets provide space for small items such as keys or tissues.
