7R Hangman — Messenger-Style Crossbody Bag
Hangman is an urban bag built for daily carry and commuting.
The bag is named a "Hangman" because there is a paracord braided dude hanging on the front panel — part signature detail, part practical loop for clipping on light extras.
It has the capacity people expect from a messenger bag. The shape fits a 13–14” laptop and A4 documents, while the inside pockets keep small items in order instead of floating around the main compartment.
Included with the bag
What you see in the photos is what you get. The bag comes with the 7R Ouroboros reflective patch, the Hangman, the front key strap, and the cord zipper pulls—no separate “extras” needed.
It’s comfortable with normal everyday loads (laptop + essentials). Like any one-strap bag, it’s not meant to be heavily overloaded for long periods—too much weight will eventually strain one shoulder.
Size & carry
Dimensions: 33 × 24 × 9 cm,
Approx capacity is 7-8 L
Hangman is worn on the shoulder or crossbody using an adjustable rope shoulder strap. The strap is made from 10 mm, 48-strand nylon cord with nylon reflective cord braiding, and adjusted with two stopper knots—simple, reliable, and quick to set to your preferred length.
On the front panel, you’ll see the signature braided Hangman. It’s not only a design feature: it also works as an external loop for attaching light extra layers like a jacket, scarf, or gloves when you want them accessible without opening the bag.
The braided Hangman and the zipper pulls are made from paracord.
Pocket layout and organization
Inside the main compartment there are two flat pockets. One is a top-open laptop sleeve sized for a 13–14” laptop (it is a sleeve, not padded). The second is an organizer pocket designed for everyday tools and small gear. It closes with a zipper and includes a loooong key strap hidden inside, so you can open a door without unclipping your keys. Next to it there is a flat open compartment, and above it an elastic-strap keeper for a pen, small knife, or similar items.
The front side of the bag (the front panel, the side with the reflective patch area) is also functional, not just decorative. There is a full-length top-open slip pocket across the front. A large velcro patch panel is sewn onto this pocket. Within this same area, you also get an integrated flat zip pocket for valuables or documents you want secured but still easy to reach.
On the same front panel, there is an additional key strap, included in the set.
Materials
Hangman is available in several fabrics, so you can choose the feel and performance you want.
UltraGrid is the technical “grid” option. It combines a ripstop structure with a PU backing and a C0 DWR finish (no fluorocarbons/PFCs), giving a modern look with strong everyday durability and good water resistance.
Ecopak EPX200 is the recycled option, built as a laminated pack fabric with 100% recycled polyester components, a ripstop backing, and C0 DWR. It’s a strong choice if you want modern materials with a sustainability story.
Oxford Nylon is the more affordable option. It is not as water protected as laminated fabrics, but it is very abrasion resistant and works well for daily city use.
Who it’s for
If you carry a laptop, A4 documents, and the usual daily items (phone, keys, notebook, small layers), Hangman keeps everything organised and quick to access. It’s a solid everyday crossbody for commuting and city travel, built with the toughness and detail work you expect from 7R.
